Founded in 1981 and based in Digoin (Saône-et-Loire), the Les Canalous group has become one of the European leaders in river tourism, specializing in renting canal houseboat to private individuals.

The group is active through some forty bases in Europe, half of which are operated in France on the main waterways. The group can make available for hire around 400 boats of different sizes, of which 250 are owned by the group.

Claude Carigant, founder and CEO, wished to initiate the group’s shareholding restructuration around  his son Alfred Carignant, who is Group’s General Manager for a couple of years now.

Claude Carignant chose Trocadero Capital Partners as a minority partner to realize this transaction and support the group’s development strategy.
